Self-defense, together.
A peer-to-peer community for LGBTQ+ folks in mid-Missouri who want to learn safe, responsible firearm practices alongside people who get it. No dues. No forms. Come as you are.
“We are dedicated to the legal, safe, and responsible use of firearms for self-defense of the sexual-minority community.”
— Pink Pistols national mission
How we work
What we’re about
A few things worth saying up front, so you know what you’re walking into.
Single-issue, by design
We are dedicated to the legal, safe, and responsible use of firearms for self-defense of the sexual-minority community. That's our one focus — nothing more, nothing less.
Peer-to-peer, not a school
We are not a training academy or a business. We're neighbors who meet up to learn safe firearm practices together. Experienced members help newer ones; everyone is still learning.
Self-defense as a last resort
Self-defense is a mindset, not an act. Avoiding, de-escalating, and leaving a dangerous situation always come first. Force is the last option, never the first.
Membership
How it actually works
- No membership form. No dues. Ever.
- Membership is self-declaration: say “I am a Pink Pistol” and you are one.
- We don't keep a member database. Your privacy is yours.
- Show up to events when you want. Skip them when you can't.
- Beginners and experienced shooters welcome equally.
Many members never attend a single event and that’s fine. Being “out of the gun safe” is your call, not ours.
Curious? Just reach out.
Whether you’ve never touched a firearm or you’ve been shooting for years, the door is open. There’s nothing to sign.
